Microsoft IT
Management.
We license, configure, integrate, and support the full Microsoft 365 ecosystem for professional services firms — paired with a carefully selected set of vendor tools that fill every gap. Flat-rate. No billable hours.
One firm. The full Microsoft stack, done right.
We're not a break-fix shop or a help desk ticket queue. We become your IT department — licensing, networking, integration, and support all under one flat rate.
Microsoft Licensing
We manage your entire Microsoft 365 licensing footprint — right-sizing subscriptions, staying ahead of renewals, and ensuring your team has exactly what they need. No overbuying, no gaps.
Network Management
From firewall configuration and managed switches to workstation procurement, we spec, source, and maintain the infrastructure your firm depends on. When something fails, we own the fix.
Service Integration
Microsoft 365 is the foundation — Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Intune, Power Automate, and more. We layer in vetted third-party tools where needed and make everything work as one cohesive environment.
IT Support
Unlimited, flat-rate help desk. Your team calls, texts, or emails — no billable-hour counter running in the background. The hesitation to ask goes away, and problems get solved before they compound.
Automation & Intelligence
Map and eliminate the manual work slowing your team down. Power Automate workflows, Power BI dashboards, and process discovery — built around how your firm actually operates, not a generic template.
CMMC Compliance
For firms with defense contracts or federal subcontractor obligations. We handle the technical controls and documentation infrastructure — in partnership with a qualified C3PAO or RPO who leads your assessment. Learn more →
Microsoft-first. Best-of-breed for the rest.
We build every environment on the Microsoft 365 platform — it's the most capable, most integrated foundation available. Where Microsoft doesn't provide the optimal answer, we've vetted a set of third-party vendor partners for security, backup, monitoring, and more. Every tool we bring in is chosen deliberately and managed as part of one environment. You get a single point of accountability, not a pile of vendor relationships to manage yourself.
Simple to start. Built to last.
Getting started with Binnacle doesn't require a long sales process or a risky commitment.
Free Consultation
We assess your current environment, understand your firm's goals, and give you a clear picture of what our services look like for your specific situation — including exact pricing. No pressure, no obligation.
Tailored Onboarding
We build a transition plan around your firm's schedule and minimize disruption. Onboarding is thorough — we document your environment, establish baselines, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Ongoing Partnership
This isn't a service desk relationship — it's an embedded one. We stay ahead of problems, proactively surface improvements, and grow with your firm. Most of our clients have been with us for years.
Predictable pricing. No billable hours.
We price by team size and servers, not by the hour. This model aligns our interests with yours — we succeed when your team stays productive.
IT built around relationships, not invoices.
Binnacle Technologies was founded to remove the "how much will this cost?" friction that holds most IT relationships back. When your team hesitates to ask a simple question because they're afraid of a surprise invoice, efficiency suffers — and so does your technology environment.
Our clients span professional services of all kinds — consultancies, engineering practices, contractors, dealerships, and more. We have particularly deep roots in the AEC space, and we bring that same operational focus to every engagement.
We build on Microsoft 365 as the core platform and pair it with a curated set of vendor partners — selected for substance, not upsell. The result is a technology environment that actually fits the way your firm works, managed by people who understand your business.
Jon Shults
"We are not simply an IT support vendor. We build and manage Microsoft environments that are shaped by what professional services firms actually need — and by years of working closely alongside them."
What our clients say
We were having issues so often we thought we needed someone on-site full time. A few weeks with Binnacle and that stopped being a conversation.
We were 20 people when we started with Binnacle. We've tripled since then. The fact that IT was never a bottleneck had everything to do with that.
I assumed this level of service would come at a high cost. Eight years in, I'm still getting an enterprise experience at a price that makes sense for my business.
Common questions
Clearly answered.
Is my firm too big or too small?
No. Because our flat-rate pricing scales with your team size, we work effectively with firms of all sizes — from small practices to larger operations with multiple locations.
How will I know what I'm paying for?
Every monthly invoice lists your team members by name. There are no mystery line items — just a clear accounting of exactly what's covered.
What does onboarding look like?
We start with a complimentary assessment of your current environment. From there we build a transition plan that minimizes disruption to your team's day-to-day work — thorough documentation, clean baselines, no surprises.
Do I have to use Microsoft 365?
Yes — it's the platform we build on. If you already have a Microsoft 365 tenant we take it over; if you're coming from Google Workspace or another service, we handle the migration.
What third-party tools do you use?
We maintain a curated stack of vendor partners for areas like endpoint security, backup, monitoring, and networking. Every tool is vetted for fit and security posture — and we manage it all, so you have one firm to call, not a dozen vendors.
Do I have to buy all new equipment?
Usually not. We provide core networking devices and will recommend upgrades where genuinely needed — we're not in the business of replacing things that are working.
Schedule a Consultation
It starts with a phone call — usually 20 to 30 minutes. We learn about your environment, you get a sense of how we work, and we both decide together whether an in-person meeting makes sense before anyone commits to anything.
